Devlog 4 - Concept Art

Our team has completed our game proposal presentation. Now we are moving on to the next stage of pre-production which includes proof of concept of the game.
To prepare for the proof of concept, it's important to get a solid visualization of the first area of the game: The Protagonists Room. This will give the team a solid point of reference when designing the world and mechanics.
This concept art is meant to capture the mood and rough composition of the protagonist's house. The messy room and moody lighting make it feel depressing. This communicates our gameplay and narrative intentions by painting a picture of the protagonist's depressing life while also providing an excuse to fill the house with obstacles and make it feel labyrinthian.
With this reference point, our team is set to move forward with our proof of concept by nailing down the core gameplay loop and narrative outline.
